Center for Indigenous Sustainability invites proposals for translation of “Vastugunadipika’ (Telugu) written by Sri Yerra Subbarayudu of Rajamahendravaram (Andhra Pradesh) in the year 1883 . The material for this book was collected from all the relevant books of Ayurveda. The author with the assistance of Sanskrit cum Ayurvedic Scholars has written Vastugunadipika as a reference book. Eleven editions have since been published.
The book contains information regarding various foodstuff – their names in Telugu, Latin/English , Hindi and Samskrit — the properties of each item – result if consumed or consumed too much – antidote – how to administer – for whom – under what conditions and so on.
CIS invites scholars/intellectuals well versed in Telugu/Sanskrit/English to submit proposals for translation of this book into English. Applications may be made to firstname.lastname@example.org along with their resume and fees they proposed to charge.
